I am a PHOENIX!

It is Tuesday and I am so excited to say that I am officially a Phoenix! Sometime last week, and I say sometime because I am currently still floating around sky high on cloud nine or ten or twelve! I had the most impactful, incredible, without words-sensational weekend.. Although the most emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually challenging..not to mention I lost my voice completely, it was the best thing that I could have done for me in my phase of life right now. But, before I get on about my love for Discover U Leadership, I wanted to get back to my original thought.. yah.. the one about being a Phoenix. Last Thursday I was enrolled officially and begin class on November 2nd. For now, I will obtain my AA in Foundations of Business Management and go on to complete my Bachelors in Business Management.

I recently posted here my interest in school and what a great opportunity I had to obtain my full degree and it be completely paid for by Veteran's Affairs. Initially, I thought that I would only have 28 months of benefits. After a process with "paperwork" as I like to call it, I had to apply for my certificate of eligibility where the VA sent me an "official" statement on how much time I was owed. The grand total was 35 months and 23 days! Which by the way is MORE than enough to cover the degree I want with my previous transcripts out of Military training and some random college coursework I did active duty.

The other really big plus is that it does provide a pretty good amount of extras. If I was not going online and taking classes for all my Gen Ed stuff locally, I would pocket so much more, but that schedule is not conducive for my lifestyle, and I have the choice. I choose to do it online.

I am very proud of my commitments and look forward to getting my first University of Phoenix T-shirt! :)

So, Discover U I had a breakthrough and I witnessed 13 other adults ranging 26-55 have a life changing experience just as I did. I AM incredibly blessed and ready to change the world-one life at a time-beginning with my own!
