Happy Friday

Today turned to be a pretty good Friday, I was very productive at work and when it was closing time I ran to the grocery store to grab a couple of things for dinner. I haven't been in at least 3 weeks and our fridge was beginning to feel like a college dorm refrigerator with a take out box, a bottle of Gatorade with one sip left in it (not sure who was responsible for that :) ), a box of Rachel Ray's beef broth and something that might not be identifiable if I actually opened the container. It is a little embarrassing to admit that, but let's face it, we have all been there! Where does the time go anyways? So, back to my original thought, I headed out to the store with Mexican food (what else?) on the mind. In addition, I was going to buy some fruit, salad, tomatoes, avocados and a box of honey nut cheerios. So, I did. :) When I got home I proceeded to make the most delicious flautas and covered them in green leaf lettuce, fresh red vine tomatoes and a dab of sour cream (my Mexican food weakness..besides queso...)

When dinner was done, the kids helped me clean up..baths and bed...

This weekend is "kitchen project" part 2! I have also decided to texture our bathroom and repaint it as well the main color of all the other walls in the house. The texture will give it that added pizazz it needs and will give me a way to patch any normal wear. We have so much of the paint from when we originally painted our house that it would seem silly not to use it up!

I think that the next house we have, we will do a Spanish motif. I have recently seen alot of Spanish architecture and decor in magazines and online. The wrought iron chandeliers and rich woods and bold colored flowers, and if we can sneak in an arched door or two that would be great ;) It takes on our already-old style-rustic wannabe taste. If I could create a perfect setting it would be this... on a scale that fit our family-friendly-frugal budget.. I can dream! :)or this... and outside, something like this... I love to decorate and most days, more recently I love projects..Anyways..

Next weekend we are going to San Antonio. I am really looking forward to spending time with Hope and Hannah and the one other thing I have really been looking forward to is going to the AT&T Center for Max Lucado's "Bigger Than You Event", the weekend of August 21st.
Michael W. Smith will be there!!! :) YAY for a huge congregation doing praise and worship together!! I *heart* OAK HILLS CHURCH :)

On that note, I am signing off! Look for Sunday's post with kitchen project part 2 pics!
